OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT
As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
Who We Are
The women’s ministry organization of the Messiah Lutheran Church.
Together, our ministries change lives because lives have been changed by Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Together, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.
Together, we continue to work for God’s wholeness, by building and celebrating mission-focused relationships that are grounded in faith, local and global, empowering and interdependent.
Together, we can accomplish more that we can do alone.
Who Belongs?
All women who are members of Messiah Lutheran Church are members of the Messiah Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America.
When Do We Hold Our Meetings?
We meet the second Thursday of every month at 1:30 PM in the Youth Area of the lower level. We have refreshments quarterly: March, June, September, and December.
What is our Mission?
To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
Why do we do what we do?
Because we are called, in Holy Baptism, to bear Christ’s grace and love to a world that so longs to receive it.
